What You Focus on Is What You Get for Women

Author : Jordan Burke

Have you ever wondered what you can do to change your financial situation? Sometimes people feel stuck in a rut where they cannot change their situation

Focusing on your money and making it work for you is more effective than letting it happen You can change your energy around money One rule is to start putting money away for yourself so you can treat yourself occasionally so you don't feel deprived When we feel deprived, we then lose it and go out and splurge If we honor that we deserve something, it is better We achieve more when we focus on the positive vs focusing on the negative - how am I going to pay all these bills - things started to turn around for her Have you heard the saying "Always pay yourself first"? Maybe that's because you worked hard for it, you earned it, and if you always live in fear and negativity about money, you'll never enjoy it What if you put aside $5 a week to buy yourself something at the end of the month - a splurge This money will continue growing, first slowly then quickly But how much are you going to enjoy that splurge when you spend that money on yourself with no guilt It is important to put money into a savings plan for your future - part of the "paying yourself first" plan Don't put money away after everything else is paid because there won't be anything left Put money away at the beginning of the pay period - You can do it differently and get to the same place

Figure out different ways to create new money funnels Don't just think about your "job Depending on your job and salary is not always the best Take control - that's usually not much these days One thing you can do is ask for the money you deserve from your boss, but you can't count on that but you can create other means of income Loral Langemeier calls them cash machines Figure out ways that you can create more money in your life Put that thought in your head and you will find an answer Is it babysitting 1 day a weekend? Is it another part-time job for Christmas? What can you do while staying home with the children?

Can you work online? Places like e-lance, etc have people looking for writers, etc

What does this addition of OMI - other means of income - do for you?

Well, it changes the money flow It helps you get unstuck It allows you to realize you have some control over your situation - rather than

Saying " I don't know what else to do" you start asking questions and saying "This isn't working for me What can I do differently How do I bring in new income?" A shift in your thinking can change your life

Self improvement products are available at http://www.selfimprovement2.com and have access for $1.00.
Can You Change Your Life

Author : Jordan Burke

It can be hard work to change old habits, and old belief systems I have worked hard at changing some of the old beliefs I came into life with including those negatives from my birth family I always believed I wasn't quite good enough I spend much time really getting to know myself and realizing who I really am But this journey has been difficult and frustrating, but worth every bit of it

It is somewhat like tennis players - they come in all levels of ability and someone who says they are "good" to some people may be a very poor player to others Just look at the ranked tennis players I am sure I would just be watching the ball fly by - that is if I can see it But there are some people I can beat! But I have learned to NEVER say I am "good," as that can come back to bite me But I digress I say this to indicate that everyone is in a different place with their personal growth/self improvement There is no right or wrong - just different As evidence, watch reality shows and then watch the Oprah show Examples of diversity People on some reality tv shows may not be invited to be enlightened guests on Oprah

One of my latest discoveries was a few years ago with the whole "Secret", manifesting your destiny movement I believe I had to work hard to rid my self of old beliefs and feelings before I could have achieved the levels I have achieved A few years ago, I was ready A phrase that comes to mind is "where you are today is a result of what you did in the past"! This is very important Many of us feel stuck and we can't get out of the "muck", but really, if we start working in that moment to change our destiny, to believe the good can come to us, that we are worth it, then it can change in the future That is where I am at and I love it It takes a lot of patience, however, and a lot of faith I am not a religious person, but I do believe in higher beings I also believe in the science of quantum physics - what we focus on is what manifests Again, we get down and negative, guess what we get more of - just that

I also believe it was necessary to go through some of the things I went through to get to this place Now, my life has changed

True self-improvement is not for sissies, however It is tough work It is easier to stay in a rut and do what we have always done and complain about it As a counselor, I see many people who want the other person to change - the other person to stop doing something So turn that around, look at yourself, and remember you are the only one who can make your life better And no "yeah, but's" please When we are trying to move forward, we get stopped in our tracks It is the same as saying "but here is my obstacle "

What does personal growth have to do with making money or improving your life or having financial freedom or being successful on the internet "If you believe it, you can be it!"

There is help available everywhere The question becomes "Are you willing to do the work?" But it IS worth it Yes, life can get better and better as you change from the inside out

www.jordan-burke.comGo to www.selfimprovement2.com with 36 products that you can use and that you have rights to sell.
Author : Jordan Burke

Children with ADHD do not get into trouble on purpose Their goal is not to make us angry and upset They just do not have a stop gap before doing what they decide to do, whereas ost of us can decide before we do and decide if it's a good idea or not

1 Provide a great deal of structure for the child - same bedtimes, meal times, homework times

2 Seriously limit or eliminate video games

3 Television should be limited or eliminated

4 Find them quiet activities such as legos, blocks, k-nex, reading, or word searches Legos have been found to be a positive way to engage their brain

5 Watch their diet by limiting food dyes, sugar, caffeine

6 Keep the environment calm and quiet - You can help the child reduce their activity levels

7 Structured physical activity - bike riding, trampoline, jungle gyms, running to burn off energy at their worst times and/or before homework

8 Homework and bedtime - At home in the evening, before homework have the child take some quiet time Perhaps a bath first will help

9 Help the child stay organized - they may need your help with this Usually, you cannot just say "clean your room" or "do your homework " Help them organize their room and their backpack and help them stay on top of it Show them how and where to do their homework - with no video or tv

10 The child may be different than your other children so they need more structure Realize they need alternate plans Some children can handle activities but some ADHD children may only be able to work for 5 minutes and this is very frstrating for caregivers That is why I recommend having plans prepared

The children are not bad children but they do not have a pause button after their thoughts If we were really nervous and/or had a lot of anxiety, we would have a hard time sitting still and concentrating They have this extra energy in their bodies I work in schools and have seen cases of the CLASSIC ADHD student in first or second grade They truly cannot sit still or stay focused and the hard part is that they are getting in trouble all the time because they cannot follow directions or stay at their desk They are always bother others Parents have decided to try the medication, and the child has become totally different, including being happier and more able to learn After medications, these children often have moments they are proud of because they have learned to ake good choies, can now read, and can focus

Self improvement support can be found at www.selfimprovement2.com with 36 products that you can use and that you have rights to sell.
Truth vs Fiction in Internet Marketing

Author : Jordan Burke

So have you about had it with internet marketers driving you crazy? I went through this week and "unsubscribed" from a number of individuals It was overwhelming And, you know, when you are working at projects to move you forward and create more income, all that e-mail advertising becomes like very LOUD NOISE and keeps us from our goals/projects for the day

I find myself wanting to open the e-mails and see what they are offering and the problem becomes that, these days, there is often something to learn from many of them and I love to watch the videos to learn more But we all only have so much time and we need to make the best use of it So if I'm not getting all those e-mails in my mailbox, I am not tempted to read them or buy something Because I feel I have what I need already to do my work, I need to delete many of the other marketing e-mails Programs these days have so much great information in them Hearing about free sites, etc helps with my business that help us make more money, do more marketing, etc

So I have reviewed some of the programs I have worked with and that have helped me the most I believe there has to be an internal growth and lots of hurdles in this business before one is really successful I do not like all those headlines that make us believe we can earn "$24,000 in 24 hours", for example Marketers seem to like it because it brings in those who are "tire kickers " - those with curiosity Wouldn't we all love those results They just aren't very realistic for newbies in ANY program I doubt if the internet "oldies" are having that success either until they have HUGE lists and excellent programs

As a Capricorn, I am determined and work toward success no matter what If that needs to be slow and methodical, so be it My favorite programs may not promise the fantastic money results, but they are about consistency and slowly building internet real estate - many small machines vs one HUGE machine I know that this can be done We need to be cautious and well-educated when we spend our money on the internet and not fall for every program I have run across ones that cost but have found a substitute for free Do your due diligence

Self improvement support can be found at www.selfimprovement2.com with 36 products that you can use and that you have rights to sell.
Who s in Charge of Your Financial Destiny

Author : Jordan Burke

Have you reached the place where you KNOW that success is yours? It's a good place to be It is a lot of work to get to that place but it can be done We all have a different process Also, not everyone wants the same results Financial freedom is not the same to each of us

Believing you deserve financial freedom is necessary to claim what can be ours I did a lot of work and found that all of a sudden I KNEW it But it was a journey

I, like many people, came from not a lot of money, and as a single mom I had to struggle a lot raising 3 children That was hard

And I worked in social services which doesn't pay a lot, even though I had a good education Part of my journey has included my house burning down and having a crooked contractor who sued me We all have different complicated stories but we can write a new life story and let go of the past I have done that Life can be good and easy Abundance is here and more is on the way Those tough moments made me stronger and a survivor!

Reading various authors, attending workshops, programs, etc was all a part of my growth in working on the goal of financial freedom Things from 4 years ago have little relevance now, but they were part of my path Again,

How about your path? Are you on it? What do you hope for at the end of your path? The biggest question is "Do YOU KNOW it's there? Knowing in your gut is much more than just believing Deep down, you must have some knowledge that this is yours for the asking as you are now on the path You are doing that because something inside of you has shifted and you are saying the old way is not acceptable and YOU ARE MAKING A CHANGE Not "you are ready for a change" but "YOU ARE MAKING A CHANGE!" There's a big difference in those two statements, isn't there?

In summary, Who's in charge? Obviously we can't control everything that happens to us, but we can control our attitude about life and "ride the bumps" and do our part Again, a law of quantum physics is "what we focus on expands "

Check out the website for self-improvement products for you and for you to sell to others - one each week.
Making your Life Better and More Abundant

Author : Jordan Burke

What does self-improvement have to do with abundance, affiliate marketing, the internet, seo, making money online? What does self-improvement mean? Why worry about that? Because if we don't, old habits, old ways of thinking, other people get in the way How can we open ourselves up for abundance and joy in life if we do not prepare ourselves? Most of us are carrying around a lot of baggage that gets in the way when we try to change our life into a positive unless we understand what the baggage is about, why we still have it, and we get RID of it I actually used a visualization of me pushing all that old stuff, all that old baggage, off a cliff I think it helped

I am a therapist and am amazed at the people who do the same thing all the time but expect a different result An example of this is a person who is constantly complaining about a situation but does nothing different They only complain Well, nothing will change at that rate, will it So, how badly does she want to change?

But using this analogy, we can say we want our life to be better, we can say we want to do all these fun, exciting things, but unless we are really willing to take some risks, change our behaviors, and break old habits, things will not change

What does abundance, affiliate marketing, the internet, seo, making money online, all have to do with this information? Well, it has been my path I have sought more money I had some things fall apart in my life I have a lot of determination I have achieved my belief in abundance and it being available for all I have sought a great deal of information and ideas to see what will work best for me, and that continues to grow Now, I'm one of those people who has to keep my day job while I do another job - many of us do But I also have waded through a lot of junk out there to find the gold - what helps the most, what works, what is clear - not "I still don't know how!" I hate that, don't you? I am willing to find solutions when I have technical problems, often including outsourcing

Because of my journey and my skills and intellect, I have decided to put up a website that will help others find some of these solutions much easier I also believe things keep changing so quickly on the internet What are your financial goals? When you think of abundance, what comes to mind Is making some honest, fun money doing what you love enough? Need to pay off those bills? Wouldn't $300-$500 /month be great We don't have to be in the millionaires category I'm not sure I aspire to that, because it would consume my life and I don't want that I like to have fun Abundance for me is more about simplicity and really means having financial freedom, not more stuff I believe that's how so many people get in over their heads They get too greedy and things get out of hand A simpler life with freedom has always been my goal Freedom to travel and do as I want without financial constraints has always been my goal, including money in the bank Ease of living So my advice is to look at your goals and consider what it would be like if you had all the things you are wishing for and decide what it is you really need to be happy Does financial freedom mean happiness to you?

Jordan is a therapist, author, entrepeneur, traveler.
What to Do With Self Improvement Hurdles

Author : Jordan Burke

What do we do when life keeps throwing us difficulties? What about the idea that we create our own reality? We might be manifesting so we can make changes in our lives that we have asked for The difficulties just may not be what we asked for, but the improvements may be what we asked for So how do we continue forward while we keep meeting these hurdles All we can do is all we can do I liken it to putting my nose to the grindstoe and going forward no matter what I know I can (somewhat like the little engine that could who said "I think I can, I think I can" my words are "I know I am succeeding, I know I'm succeeding" And in this process I also adopt an attitude of gratitude about all the blessings

I guess the trick is to figure out what motivates you when things are tough What gets you moving again? I remember needing to use a lot of fortitude and perseverance when things got really hard as a single mom and all I could do was move forward or go to bed!" Some days you have no choice I put the words "Just Do It" on my refrigerator a long time ago " Anyway, it would be one foot in front of the other, until I could look around and realize things had improved

I believe you need to change your beliefs and become optimistic about your future for it to change We have to change things we do when we are not getting the results we want Change it up " So getting out of the rut that keeps pulling us back is the trick Soon you will look back at your old life and wonder where it went Eventually, old habits are broken and you no longer fall back into the old routine

I also have experienced "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger " Sometimes there's a purpose to adversity and what results in your life because of it is even better This random thought sounds cliches may not make it easier when you get hit with a whammie, I hope you know that your only choice is to get up and keep going, and believe that there is a better life for you If you'd like, you can feel sorry for yourself If you are a wallower, you probably wouldn't be reading this article, or be on this website

I am sure that the more "whammies" you handle, the number of them will decrease and your life will get better and better Do you believe it?

Jordan is a therapist, author, entrepeneur, traveler.
Determination to Succeed Online

Author : Jordan Burke

The internet world moves at lightning speed in changes, information, money-making opportunities So much information, so little time How do we sort it out? How do we figure out who is legitimate and real? What programs are the best to buy They all say they are the best and they are the solution for our lack of making money online And of course, they all promise huge incomes in a week's time
I tend to be more drawn to the ones that are getting more honest about the fact that it takes a while to start making money and it takes persistance and perseverance

I also get mixed messages For example, recently I saw a video saying that submitting articles to certain major article directories was more important that trying to hit a lot of directories, but someone else believes that submityourarticle com is the only way to go I'm not commenting on either preference, but commenting on how newbies have to sort out all the information they get It took me some time, but now I seem to have things pretty clear in my mind about what needs to be done and how to do it I hear negatives and positives about pay-per-click and based on the money one can spend being new to internet marketing, I have chosen to avoid pay-per-click I have lost money while following directions carefully so I would rather spend my money on information that PPC I am fascinated by all the parasite marketing, including videos and articles

I find the internet to be this huge world in itself, and there is so much to do, I find I have to set limits, leave the computer, and go exercise and/or have some family fun I hope that you too can enjoy the feeling of success when you begin making money on the internet and watch your reputation grow as an expert Then it becomes pretty awesome, but it's kind of like that leap from "I'm overwhelmed!" to "I know what I'm doing !We don't always notice our personal growth until we are in a new, positive place and look back I'm surprised at how much I've learned, how much I've grown, and how sure I am of success, compared to those beginnings My strategies keep evolving and my goals keep changing along with my work I'm unable to predict or understand these changes They just keep happening

So, for the "newbies" to the internet world - I use the analogy of "keep on swingng the bat" because we do not hit homeruns every time we try a new project but if we remain consistent and persistent, improving ourselves each time, we will achieve successes In the internet world, we do not hit them 100% of the time You can do it I hate to sound silly, but I want to say "If I can do it, anyone can do it "

Visit Jordan Burke at her websites including www.jordan-burke.com and www.selfimprovement2.com.
Attachment Disorder and its Effects

Author : Jordan Burke

What is attachment disorder and why is it such a big deal? How does it disrupt families? There are children with attachment issues that are not as severe and then there are children on the other end of the continuum who could kill I know in most adult's world, they cannot imagine any child ever capable of killing, but it seems I hear it more and more on the news The children have not always killed, but have no conscience when it comes to how they treat other people Much of my commentary on these children and the families is based on experiential studies of families I have worked with in therapy for 20 plus years I have seen families devastated by more serious cases of attachment disorder I have supported families in thier need to disrupt the adoption because of the safety of family members Many of these children have been adopted through international adoptions, but not all

I do believe we are all on the continuum somewhere, having issues of trust of others, etc We all may do our part to push others away, but the children I am talking about try to make adults crazy, in an effort to feel better themselves Many of the children I work with are adopted, perhaps through the state system or international adoptions Also, by the time they come to see me, the parents have run out of options, and have been doing a great deal of research to find out what's wrong The ones I see are often on the more severe end of the continuum, not the ones who are withdrawn Traditional therapy is more likely to work with them

Secure attachment can be broken with the mother in utero or during the first 2 years of life, to the level that it affects that child on a severe level A child can be adopted at 3 days but continue to show more severe symptoms of attachment disorder because thy have never let the adoptive parents love them This is not a conscious decision to not bond - it is cellular The child has learned in utero life is not safe - The child believes he/she must be in control to remain safe If I trust you you will fail me and I will die This is the lesson learned by them from their birthmother "I will take care of my own needs because you will let me down" is their belief Life or death is what it means to them

In healthy maternal care, the following are required for development of trust and attachment: eye contact, food, touch, comfort, verbal and emotional contact, play, smiles, mirroring effect, and consistency Now all children develop it It seems that highly sensitive and intelligent children are more likely to refuse to attach to new caregivers It is comparable to the question of "what makes one person a survivor while the another one who has been abused continues the negative path?" We don't really know Perhaps the brief moment of knowing a birthmother's love is enough What was the pregnancy like?

The child's development and personality are affected by the early neglect and attachment disorder Even though they may grow up in a loving environment post-adoption, they do everything in their power to create chaos Their brains appear to be wired differently - we sometimes call it upside down parenting The children do not respond to reasoning or consequences Everything becomes a battle and the child is out to win Because they need to stay in control!

I could write forever about symptoms and behaviors of attachment disorder in adoptive children as it affects the child and the families

www.theattachmentgroup.org has more information for you and for self-improvement products that you can use and resell, go to www.selfimprovement2.com.
