Most are designed with very specific purposes in mind, such as those covers which bear treads to provide grip and prevent skidding. Others are general-purpose, useful for most settings. Either may be disposable. Then there are those created to go with a particular pastime, like cycling. Whatever the precise need, a great variety of affordable solutions are now available.
