The first things you have to consider when you are looking for the best tents for camping are their sizes. Camping tents come in various sizes from small up to big ones. They have even dividers for sleeping, storage and even for changing clothes.

Of course, you do not want to bring along a tent that is as big as your car especially if you are trekking or hiking. If you are will travel alone, then get a single sized camping tent so it would be easy to carry along. Before you head off to the nearest camping shop to check out their tents for camping and Coleman lantern, be sure to identify the specific activity that will do so you can get the right kind for it.

After knowing the number of persons who will be occupying it, determine the season. Normally in high areas, strong winds and heavy rain will occur.

So tents for camping on during these times must be sturdy enough to withstand the extreme weather condition. You can ask the seller about the different features that can conquer all these conditions. They have tents that can conquer snow storms, strong winds and the like.

If you are simply going to the neighboring camping site this summer season, then no need to bring the heavy tents for camping. Those with simple features that will protect your form extreme heat is just what you need. In fact, you will only have to secure your Coleman lantern, sleeping bag, flashlights and other camping gears for this activity. No need to bring along so many gadgets since there are no rain storms that will ruin the night.

After the capacity and the durability of the tent, its weight must also be considered. Tents for camping come in different weight and sizes. Of course those bigger ones are expected to be heavy, while smaller ones can easily be attached to your backpack. Again if you are going alone, do not be a hero and bring the bigger tent to accommodate your friends. You can choose the single-sized one so you will not have to strain your back or arms from pulling the heavy kind. If somebody is willing to bring it for you, then go ahead and bring the largest tent.

Normally, your tent will dictate the amount and number of camping gears that you can bring along. This is simply because the tent occupies so much space and has the heaviest weight among other camping equipment. Even your Coleman lantern does not weigh that much. So you need to secure your tent first and pack it ahead of time so you will have the idea how far can you go in terms of the weight of your bag. Make sure that you just carry enough so you will not have any serious injury. Be a safe packer and camper all at the same time. You do not want to ruin the entire outdoor adventure just because you got sick or strained your back. Learn to have fun and do not be a burden to other campers.

The next time you visit the nearest camping shop, be specific with your needs so the searching process will come faster and easier.
