The white tuxedo does not have silk faced lapels but are the same material as the rest of the jacket. There are also mandarin styled collars for tuxedos that have no buttons.
A tuxedo is always worn with a black bow tie or a tie and a white shirt with different front designs. It is also recommended or even required on some occasions to wear a cummerbund that contributes to the formal appearance. Not everyone is a fan of it so it can be easily replaced with a low cut waistcoat.
