These are also available in injections and are used for the treatment of stomach ulcer as well as a condition known as Zollinger Ellison syndrome and also acid reflux. Nexium has fewer side effects, but diarrhoea, constipation, stomach pains, drowsiness, and dizziness are very common. In some cases like intake of Esomeprazole, left with a severe head pain and raised blood pressure.
The very next in the list of medications is H2 receptors antagonists. This group of drugs has a very great working and it attaches and then block the H2 receptor area on stomach cells, which when stimulated by naturally produced chemical leads to the formation of acid. To name few of this group’s medicines we have, ranitidine, Nizatidine and Famotidine as well.
Again they also have less of side effects and most of the time it constitutes diarrhoea, headaches, dizziness and tiredness. Some of them have also reported the case of sweating and loss of hair.
Both of them that are proton pump inhibitors and the H2 receptors are used along with the antibiotics so that it keeps away Helicobacter pyroli infection which is the cause of stomach ulcer in many cases.
