If you are a father and you are sick of trying to get money for college, then you are in luck. Sure there are all kinds of programs to help single mothers go back to school, but as usual it seems like there is nothing to help those single dads or other dads that are out there go back and get a degree. However, there have been many new programs that include college scholarships for dads. Here are all the options you have if you are a dad and you want to go back to school.

The first option that is out there for you if you are a dad is to use a payment plan to split up the payments of your tuition. Sure this is not free money for you, but it is good to know that you can pay your tuition in installments in case you do not qualify for any free money, loans, or if you do not qualify for enough to pay all of your tuition. A lot of the money that is out there is based on how much income you have coming in and you have to understand that not everybody is going to qualify. The good thing is that it is free to find out if you qualify.

The second option is to use the college scholarships for dads that are out there to help you pay for your schooling. Getting a degree might be the best decision of your life for your future and for your families future. This will only help you make much more money than you are right now and if you use the college scholarships for dads that are out there you can get up to around $10,000 to help you pay for your college. This can pay for a full two years or more if you go to the right school and you take the right classes to help you get your degree and your brighter future.

The third option for you is to use what is called a pell grant. This is another one of the free money options and typically if you claimed under $20,000 of income on your taxes last year, then you will qualify for the entire amount of the grant. This grant will help you each and every single semester and you can get as much as $5,500 per year to split between all the semesters you go to college. This is free money that you never have to pay back and you will be happy you applied for the pell grant.

The last option is to use government student loans and private student loans. When you fill out your FAFSA, which is the same application that will help you qualify for the pell grant, you will find out how much you can get in government backed student loans. If the amount you qualify for is not enough you can also use what is known as private student loans and that can give you up to about $40,000 if you really need it to get through while you get your degree. These loans do have to be paid back, but they will not ask you to pay on them until you have graduated and found a career.
